As Senior Manager, Corporate Reputation at Charles Schwab, I was charged with building and protecting Schwab’s reputation via outreach to local media in major markets around the U.S., as well as handling issues management and crisis response. While this involved writing press releases and pitching stories, it also involved helping to launch a brand journalism site called “Main Street Stories” that covers people, products, and industry and societal trends, both in and out of the financial services business.
